Ed Miliband was going ok at #PMQs today. Not terrific but certainly doing ok and then he came to his last line and here it is, “The Chancellor has lashed himself to the mast.. not for the first time perhaps” Oh Ed Miliband why must you lower yourself to such a petty level?
This is of course a nod at the story that George Osbourne might like kinky sex as was revealed a couple of days ago. As we all know kinky sex is all good and fair and can be part of a healthy private life. An MP is fully entitled to a private life and if he wants to do things that are perfectly legal with other consenting adults then who gives a rats behind?
I just have to wonder what on Earth was the purpose of him stooping to such a level? Heck if he’d done a line on cocaine use then maybe that would’ve been better as taking cocaine is illegal but getting tied up and being whipped is not. So all I can think of was that Ed Miliband thought it would be terribly funny in a pathetic schoolboy way to try and snitch George Osbourne up. Grow up Ed. This isn’t the playground and all the MPs are y’know…adults.
When you are probably doing more than holding your own and sticking it to the PM over unemployment you don’t need to go through with your pre-written bondage jibe at the Chancellor. All it does is make you look like a sniggering schoolboy amongst adults and that isn’t a good look if you are trying to sound statesmanlike.
Lastly if Ed Miliband really thinks being tied up and whipped is a laughter matter then he’s clearly not sexually adventurous and anyone who is vanilla doesn’t get my vote that’s for sure.
